Help affiliates serve real businesses.
Complete this guide before activation. Return to it for monthly team support. Print this page or save it as PDF using your browser.
1. Use the CRM to help partners earn
Review assigned leads, follow-up dates, client status and indicative wallet records with your affiliates. Agree practical training and follow-up tasks, then review progress monthly. Regional managers are the first reviewers for affiliate applications assigned to their region and new client listings submitted by their affiliates. The owner can see all pending items and can approve urgently when the regional manager is unavailable. Customer attribution stays with the original affiliate. Support activity is required; income cannot be guaranteed.
2. Know the service
Basic is free each month, with a one-time R100 onboarding invoice for new listings that must be paid before publication. Starter is R49/month and adds a logo and direct WhatsApp button. Premium and Branch terms are shown in the portal; check current prices before quoting them. Demonstrate the actual listing and never guarantee leads, search rankings, sales or income.
3. Earn from subscriptions and Basic registrations
A Basic listing has no monthly fee and earns no subscription commission or plan bonus. Only an affiliate-assisted onsite Basic registration with a cleared one-off R100 onboarding invoice records R50 for the affiliate, R20 for the linked eligible regional manager, and R30 for MzansiNear. A self-submitted website Basic registration pays the full R100 to MzansiNear; its code may track eligible future paid-plan commissions. Starter, Premium and paid branches earn 25% of cleared subscription fees. Once-off plan bonuses apply only to eligible Starter and Premium subscriptions (and not on paid branches), never to Basic. Regional managers earn an additional 5% only on their directly assigned affiliates’ subscription commissions, not on Basic registration splits or plan bonuses. The manager amount is funded separately by MzansiNear. Recruiting alone earns nothing.
4. Keep referrals with their affiliate
The original affiliate keeps each customer referral. Manager commission is paid by MzansiNear and does not reduce affiliate commission. Your personal customer referrals continue under the affiliate agreement and earn no manager override. A manager invitation code records who introduced the affiliate; the owner must approve the assignment. Rejoining does not restart the one-year window.
5. Coach the onsite Basic process
Basic is free each month; new onboarding has a one-time R100 invoice that must be paid before the listing goes live. The affiliate enters the client’s details on their phone with the authorised contact present, captures accurate services and towns, and records the contact’s typed acceptance. Check that the invoice email was sent. Keep the listing pending until payment clears and you review and approve it in the regional portal. Never mark payment cleared yourself. The owner sees pending items and can approve an urgent case if you are unavailable. If invoice delivery fails, contact MzansiNear support.
6. Use honest conversations
Try: “I work with MzansiNear as an affiliate partner. May I show you the listing options and current subscription terms? I may earn commission if you subscribe through my referral.” Use permission-based outreach, respect refusals and protect personal information. Escalate complaints privately to MzansiNear.
7. Read wallets, statements and payout dates
Wallet figures are indicative earnings records; they are not cash held for you. Only payments the owner has confirmed as cleared, with the required listing approval, qualify. Onsite Basic registration splits close Thursday at 18:00 South African time and are paid the following Friday. Starter, Premium and Branch commissions and eligible plan bonuses are cut off on the 25th and paid on the 1st of the following month. MzansiNear sends a commission statement and proof of bank transfer directly to the partner. Keep payout details verified and raise discrepancies promptly.
8. Your first 7 days
Day 1: confirm your service area, portal access and current packages; review pending affiliate applications and approve the eligible regional applicants assigned to you. Day 2: coach the Basic pitch, client consent and referral-code check. Days 3–4: accompany an affiliate and review complete client submissions after the owner confirms cleared payment. Day 5: check advance-invoice follow-ups and unresolved cases; never mark a payment cleared yourself. Day 6: reconcile wallet entries, help partners read statements and escalate payment mismatches to the owner. Day 7: submit your activity report and plan the Basic Thursday 18:00 cutoff / following-Friday split payout and the subscription 25th cutoff / following-month first-day payout. Keep client information private.
Current payment rules
Basic has no monthly listing fee, recurring commission or plan bonus. A referred Basic client who pays the one-time R100 onboarding invoice creates a R50 affiliate / R20 linked eligible manager / R30 MzansiNear split; a direct registration belongs entirely to MzansiNear. Starter, Premium and paid branches earn 25% subscription commission. Once-off plan bonuses apply only to Starter and Premium options. The manager 5% applies only to directly assigned affiliate subscription commissions, never Basic splits or plan bonuses.
All client payments are due in advance; monthly invoices are issued on the 25th for the next service month. Subscription commissions and eligible plan bonuses close on the 25th and pay on the 1st of the following month. Basic registration splits close Thursday at 18:00 SAST and pay the following Friday. MzansiNear sends each partner a statement and proof of bank transfer directly. Keep bank details verified and use only actual cleared-payment records.
Practice with your team
Role-play a client introduction, show a listing, explain that Basic is free monthly and clarify the separate Basic onboarding split, then practise client acceptance, invoice email checking and regional approval after payment clearance. Practise approving an affiliate application assigned to your region, checking a client listing together, and escalating an urgent review to the owner when you are unavailable. Identify the difference between a manager invitation code, an affiliate customer referral code and a private sign-in code.
